Please read the following rules and conditions of Hayes Town Chapel's Youth Club. To maintain a friendly environment for games, activities and to provide an opportunity for children to learn about the Christian faith, these are the rules which all the children are expected to adhere to at all times whilst attending the Youth Club.

Rules:

1. Children are registered and subs collected on arrival after 7:30pm. Any child deliberately arriving late, thereby missing the Bible study (at 7:40pm) will not be allowed entrance.
2. Foul language and inappropriate conversation will not be tolerated. ie: The misuse of God’s name and the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, swearing and language that is not acceptable.
3. We will allow no physical or verbal harassment of any nature at anytime. If your child should be the victim of this type of behaviour this needs to be reported to a leader immediately.
4. All leaders/helpers are to be respected and obeyed at all times.
5. The equipment and property of the Youth Club is to be respected. Compensation may be required with regards to any costs incurred.
6. No drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, fireworks or weapons are to be brought onto the church premises.

Terms & Conditions:

1. Failing to comply with the above rules will result in the child being warned once only and sent home depending on the severity of the incident.
2. Sometimes children decide to leave early. If your child wishes to leave at any point before closing time at 10:00pm a leader must be notified.
3. The Youth Club is not responsible for your child before they arrive or after they have left the church premises. This also applies when the Youth Club closes at 10:00pm.

Secret Believers [London Trip]

On Saturday 22nd May 2010, we are organising a trip to London.
The main purpose being to see
Saltmine's Secret Believers
at Westminster Chapel.

We intend to leave Hayes around 12 noon so we can have a look around London before the show which starts at 4pm. We'll be returning home early evening. The tickets are £5 and you'll need to bring train fare and food/spending money.

Last Terms points winners, Beth, Anna, Veronica and Stanley get to go free! Well done guys!

Did Jesus Really Rise from the Dead?

Either it's really true or some sort of vision, wishful thinking or dream.

Vision/Dream?
The disciples wanted to see Jesus again and maybe they dreamed or just imagined they saw him. Dreams seem real for the moment but they disappear. Visions only appear to one person at a time. Dreams and visions don't appear to 7 people at the same time. And does a vision speak or make a fire and cook food. The vision/dream explanation doesn't really hold up.

Invented Story?
If the disciples had invented Jesus resurrection, then they are the biggest liars in history. It's a very serious charge to bring against simple fishermen. They would have had to live under their continued lie without failure throughout the whole of their lives... even to death... without faltering. This too is very unlikely.

Is it true then?
There is no other real explanation. The evidence proves Jesus is the Son of God and did rise from the dead, that His sacrifice for sin worked. If he hadn't have risen from the dead His death would just have been a shame and an injustice, but He DID rise and HAS saved His people. It proves there is life after death and Jesus is our hope of Heaven.

If you want eternal life, you must believe it too. He is worth trusting. It's the best way of life and eternity.

Baptism of Beth & Anna

Beth, Anna and thier younger sister Amy, are being Baptised to show the world thier commitment to their Saviour, Jesus. The service will be followed by refreshments. It'd be a great opportunity for you all to be a part of, to see and learn what Baptism is about... and we'd love if you could come!

He Chose To Save You! [Joy]

An elderly preacher visiting a church told the following story

“A father, his son, and his son’s friend, were sailing when a storm overturned their boat sweeping all three into the water. Grabbing a rescue line, in a split second the father had to make the most excruciating decision of his life - which boy to save and which to sacrifice. He knew his son had accepted Christ and his friend had not. Anguished, the father yelled, “l love you son” and threw the rope to his son’s friend. By the time he’d pulled the boy back to the boat his son had disappeared. The boy’s body was never recovered. The father knew his son would step into eternity with Jesus and couldn’t bear the thought of his friend facing eternity without Christ”.

At the end of the service a teenage boy approached the old preacher and said “ a nice story, but what father in his right mind would sacrifice his son’s life in the hopes that the other boy would become a Christian?” - “You’ve got the point”, the old preacher said, “it gives you tiny glimpse into what it must have been like for God to sacrifice his only Son for us. You see....I was that father, and your pastor was my son’s friend.”
