Acts 2 v1-21
Jesus has done many amzing things and this is one of the most amazing.
Above all miracles, here we read of Jesus sending His Holy Spirit to
His disciples. A sound of rushing wind and what looked like tongues of
fire caught the peoples attention, but nt as much as the facts that
suddenly they heard the unlearned disciples all speaking in differet
languages so that everyone could understand them. Jesus was in them
but no one could see Him, they could only see andxperience the effect.
The huge croud around numbered more than 3,000. They were bewildered
and didn't really understad what was happening. Peter stood up in
front of these thousands of people now, despite denying Jesus not long
before, and taught about the salvation Jesus offered. The Holy Spirit
is powerful enough to cause men and women to want to spread the good
news of Jesus at any cost. Without the Holy Spirit there isn't this
power. The Holy Spirit changes and empowers ordinary people.
Jesus sends His Holy Spirit and we must accept the Holy Spirit if we
want to live the life God wants of us. The same Jesus and the same
Holy Spirit has given new birth to people all over the world. Men and
women all over the world have the Holy Spirit working in them and are
part of the same miracle.
You must go to Jesus as the only way, the only One who is good,
because you realise you're not good.
